OUR FOUNDER
Duckett Fishing is founded and owned by professional angler, Boyd Duckett.
After winning the Bassmaster Classic in 2007, Boyd started Duckett Fishing as a means of creating his own tournament fishing rods to use in competition.
As a passionate angler and business man, Boyd partnered with long time friend Sean Schuyler to develop micro-guided bass fishing rods. Duckett Fishing was the first rod manufacturer to introduce micro-guided rods to the market, along with the first all-white rods.

Duckett Fishing was founded on innovation, with Boyd Duckett leading the charge as the first to design and introduce micro-guided fishing rods to the bass fishing market. Always looking for a competitive edge, micro-guided rods improved sensitivity, casting distance, and balance. Boyd’s groundbreaking design forever changed how anglers approach the water.
